SUNRISE SOUND BATH 📍SIMON’S TOWN LONG BEACH

  • LONG BEACH SIMONS (map)

Join a beautiful calming
Sunrise Sound Bath

This weekend at Long Beach in Simon’s Town.

Saturday 28 Feb 6 - 7 am sunrise

or,

Sunday 1 March 6 - 7 am sunrise

What better way to start your day! A Sound Bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience. The sound bath begins with each person seated in a comfortable position. A brief guided breathing, followed by a few gentle moments to heighten your sensory awareness.

You're invited to lie down and get comfortable, using items like pillows, and blankets.

I gradually introduce sound, you can encounter a range of experiences, including profound relaxation, a heightened sense of peace, an uplift in mood, improved clarity of thought, physical and emotional release, a deeper self-connection, or simply enjoy the sensations.

Everyone is welcome. 🌊

What To Bring

We’ll be lying down on the beach sand, so bring whatever makes you feel comfortable, whether it’s a yoga mat, a picnic blanket, or even a sleeping bag.

It’s nice to have a blanket to cover yourself, and if you like, you can also bring a pillow or an eye mask.

I always like wearing thin socks, and you’re more than welcome to bring some bug spray if that helps you feel more at ease.

Sauna after your Sound Bath

On Saturday the HotHuts Mobile Sauna is there from 7 - 12 am, you can book directly via HotHuts.

  • Being outdoors sometimes brings unexpected sounds, that’s something you can’t control. But honestly, I actually see that as a valuable part of the experience, besides all the beautiful sounds, the birds, the wind, the ocean.

So far, we haven’t had any issues with noise, and everyone who’s joined has responded really positively. Even people passing by usually find it quite lovely. And we are lying down away from a walking path.

There’s really no place that’s 100% silent, even indoors you’ll hear something, kids in the street, a car in the distance. Being outside actually helps you surrender to what is, instead of resisting what you don’t want to hear.

It can also be a great moment to check in with yourself, how flexible are you mentally, in your ability to adapt to what is?

It’s a beautiful mental training in presence, letting go, and gentleness. And most people find that after a few minutes, they’re completely immersed in the moment.

  • Sound baths are for everyone, whether it’s your first time or you’ve experienced them before. Just come as you are.

If you do so, please make sure to communicate the name change with HotHuts or Leandra in timely manner.

  • Weather in Cape Town can be unpredictable and change quickly. I’ll give the best indication I can, and if the conditions aren’t suitable, I’ll let you know in the WhatsApp group. You can then join the following week/day instead. Please note, no refunds.
