Metrorail’s Southern Line runs commuter trains from Cape Town Station down the coast toward Simon's Town, and it does stop at Muizenberg along the way.
You can catch these trains from Cape Town Station for a direct ride to Muizenberg Station.
However, for visitors who aren’t familiar with the train, I generally don’t recommend taking this option, especially very early in the morning or late in the evening. Daytime travel is safer, but please stay alert and watch your belongings.
